IT Services Engineer · HomeLab Enthusiast · Problem Solver

Today's challenges,
tomorrow's solutions.

Hi, I'm JT, an IT Services Engineer at SHL Medical.
I enjoy hands-on problem solving, with a focus on troubleshooting, IT infrastructure, and networking. My HomeLab is where I keep building, testing, and learning.
At work, I focus on continuous improvement: refining workflows around real problems and turning solutions into reusable SOPs that others can build on.
This website was built with vibe coding and way too many late nights for someone about to turn 30.

01 / ABOUT ME

An IT engineer.
Always trying something new.

My IT journey began in HelpDesk and IT support.
Beyond fixing an issue, I want to understand why it happened
and how better workflows, SOPs, or architecture could prevent it next time.

After work, my 9U HomeLab rack becomes my playground.
I run my own virtualization environments with VMware ESXi & Proxmox VE, Home Assistant for my smart home
and Active Directory. (I'm still exploring)
I break things, then fix them (or just restore a snapshot).
After all, how do you know you really understand your lab until you've broken it? 🤯

Words every IT engineer knows

“Have you tried turning it off and on again?”
“I want a Cisco switch, not a Nintendo Switch.”
“If it works, don't touch it.”
“Gabe Newell Still Can't Count to Three.”
